City Facilities Management (US) LLC is honored to have received the Best CEOs for Diversity award from Comparably in Q2 of 2022.
Comparably award winners were determined from over 15 million ratings left on Comparably over the last 12-month period (June 24, 2021 through June 24, 2022) and compared against 70,000 other qualified large-sized companies.
Comparably’s Best CEOs for Diversity award recognizes the top-ranked CEOs based solely on anonymous sentiment ratings from team members of color about the CEO’s effectiveness and management style.
Paul Smith has proudly served as City US CEO for over two years with a total of 25 years’ experience in the Facilities Maintenance industry. When learning of this honor he shared, “It is a privilege beyond words to have received this award. City’s culture is rooted in our One Team Together ideology, and this award underscores how serious we are about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.”
Coming from a family that was forced to emigrate to Scotland, inclusion is a deeply instilled, personal value of mine. Embracing our teams’ differences is what makes us a stronger team which is the cornerstone of our One Team Together ideology, enabling us to better serve our dedicated partners each and every day.Paul Smith, CEO
The news comes after the recent announcement of City’s new Divercity Council, created in response to a desire to strengthen company culture and efforts to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within the organization. The Council is a cross-functional grouping of team members from varying partnerships and job titles across the US business.
This marks the fourth award City has received from Comparably since joining in 2021. In Q1 of 2022, City was awarded Comparably’s Best Company Outlook award and Best Operations Team award as part of the Best Departments category. These awards recognized team members’ positive outlook on the growth of City as well as the feedback from our team members in the Operations department who rated their workplace experiences in 16 different metrics. In Q4 of 2021, City was awarded the Best Company for Women, due to the high-scoring feedback from solely the women at City.
